Have you ever felt like you’re stuck in an old version of yourself? Like no matter how much you try, you can’t shake the past? The good news is, you don’t have to! When you place your faith in Christ, you become a brand-new creation—completely transformed from the inside out.
Paul puts it this way in 2 Corinthians 5:16-17 (NLT):
“So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
This isn’t just a metaphor. It’s a reality. When you accepted Christ, you didn’t just get an upgrade—you became an entirely new person. The old you is gone, and the new you is here!
The enemy knows he can’t undo what Christ has done in you. But if he can get you to forget who you are, he can keep you from living in victory.
Think about Samson and Delilah. Delilah lulled Samson to sleep before stealing his strength (Judges 16). The enemy uses the same tactic today—he wants to lull you to sleep spiritually so that you forget who you really are.

If so, you might be asleep to your true identity. But the good news is—it’s time to WAKE UP!
Your nature is the core of who you are. Before Christ, you had a sin nature, but in Him, you’ve been given a Christ nature:
Colossians 3:10 (NLT)
“Put on your new nature and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.”
When you were saved, your spirit became one with Christ’s spirit. You are no longer defined by your past, your failures, or your mistakes.
🔥 Truth: You’re not just a better version of yourself—you’re a brand-new person with Christ’s righteousness living in you.
Before Christ, you craved things that led to destruction. Now, your new nature gives you new desires—desires to love, to grow, and to walk in righteousness.
But here’s the challenge: learning to walk in these new desires takes time. It’s like a toddler learning to walk—there will be stumbles, but that doesn’t change the fact that the child is growing.
Proverbs 24:16 (NKJV)
“For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again…”
🔥 Truth: If you’ve stumbled, don’t stay down. Your new nature will always lead you back to Christ.
When you live from your new nature and new desires, it transforms your life:
Many people think they need a new job, a new relationship, or a new environment to feel fulfilled. But what if you don’t need a new situation—you just need to awaken to your new identity?
🔥 Truth: Living from your new identity doesn’t just change how you see yourself—it changes how you experience life.
If you’ve been living like the old you, this is your wake-up call. The past is gone. The struggle doesn’t define you. You are a new creation in Christ.
🔹 Stop striving to be good enough—you already are in Christ. 🔹 Stop dwelling on the past—it’s been erased. 🔹 Stop letting the enemy steal your identity—it’s time to take it back.

“We preach to AWAKEN hearts and bring every person into the full understanding of truth… to present to every believer the revelation of being his perfect one in Jesus Christ.”
👉 Are you ready to step into your true identity?
If so, pray this:
“Heavenly Father, I receive my identity in Christ. I declare that my past is gone, and I am a new creation. I choose to walk in my new nature, my new desires, and the abundant life You have given me. Thank You for Your grace and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Stop searching for what’s already yours. You don’t need to earn God’s favor—you already have it. You don’t need to prove your worth—you’re already priceless to Him.
The old life is gone. A new life has begun.
