Let’s Stop Pretending
Let’s be real.
Nobody wakes up in the morning thinking:
“Man… I really hope I fail today.”
You don’t brush your teeth hoping to wreck your marriage.
You don’t grab your coffee hoping your business tanks.
You don’t head into the day thinking, “Today feels like a great day to ruin my life.”
Everybody wants success.
The tension is this:
God wants success for you too.
But we don’t always define success the way He does.
Most people measure success by:
But what if God doesn’t connect success to any of that?
What if heaven measures success by things like:
That’s why James throws this punch:
“Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” James 2:17
Not weak.
Not struggling.
Dead.
That means faith that never moves…
faith that never risks…
faith that never acts…
is just religious talk.
Because real faith moves.
Successful people in God’s kingdom aren’t the people who talk the most.
They’re the people who move when God speaks.
But that leads to a real question:
What actually gets people moving? Stay with me… we’ll talk about it in Part 2.
